Sue Foley Cambridge Concert reviews
Jackson Browne Amazing Crowd Sucked
"Amazing was Sue Foley's solo acoustic performance and set. A transcendental musical experience was created by her vocals and musicianship. The sightlines and Theater sound were very good.
Annoying is the format she chooses, with audience shouting out song titles, leading to people shouting song titles (while she can actually hear very little of the requests between the over shouting and her IEM piece). In The Shape of A Heart, one annoying patron shouted out a request for between every song and when she finally played it, it took her until she sang the lyrics before she recognized the song.
Singing (off key) the words to every song, why people attending an acoustic show have to show how great a fan they are is beyond my comprehension. I paid my money to hear Sue Foley sing, not the person sitting behind me. It is rude and disrespectful to the artist and your neighbors.
The abundance of cell phones and cameras causes another bad crowd factor, where all you see is the flash and the image of the artist on the back of someone's camera. 99% of the time your picture quality is terrible. Whatever happened to No Cameras and Photography? Compounded by Ticketmaster.com asking you to upload your pictures or video from the event."
